2007 registrations can now be lodged for 2006 foals.

Amended QTIS Fees and Deadlines

During September, Queensland Racing Limited (QRL) announced an extension to the QTIS closing deadline and provided free entry to those stakeholders who registered their 2006 yearlings for the scheme prior to 1 November 2007.

Subsequent to the amended closing deadline, QRL has been in receipt of a number of calls from stakeholders who have missed this deadline and who are querying the late registration fee.

As it currently stands the following options are available to those stakeholders who did not take advantage of Queensland Racing’s offer of free registration.

1st Late Entry – 3 March 2008          Queensland Sired:    $1,140 (inc. GST)          Breedback:                $3,960 (inc. GST)

2nd Late Entry – 30 June 2008        Queensland Sired:    $3,420 (inc. GST)          Breedback:             $11,880 (inc. GST)

QRL understands that during the Equine Influenza (EI) crisis that stakeholders have been preoccupied and may have omitted to register their yearlings by the required deadline.

To assist stakeholders in this regard QRL has introduced an additional tier to the registration process, which will provide those stakeholders who have missed the initial deadline a 6 week opportunity to register for the original fee.  The amended closing dates and registration fees are listed below:

Extended Deadline – 31 December 2007          Queensland Sired:    $   380 (inc. GST)            Breedback:                $1,320 (inc. GST)
