Cannyclimb had been placed twice at Callaghan Park during a juvenile campaign and he broke through by over a length when resuming from a 20 week spell. He is by Racetree sire Monashee Mountain and is the last foal from her dam Sugus Collection. The dam’s earlier winners were Noble Charge (Fairy King) in HK and Dune Warrior (Desert King) in Sydney. His second dam Parade (Convamore) was a G1 winner of the AJC Champagne Stakes.

He is by Malniri Park stallion King Of Danes (Danehill) and his dam Bellatrix is a winning half-sister to 10 winners including the Valiant Prospect winners Fission (15 wins), I'm A Prospector (18 wins), What's Wanted (18 wins) and Don't Be Surprised (16 wins).
Bellatrix has a yearling filly by Raheen Stud sire Stromberg Carlson.

Pegunny Roy started an even-money favourite and won in class record time of 1.06.02s with Shane Scriven aboard. He is by former Widden sire – now at Raheen – and has now won three from six starts after two prior scores at Rockhampton. His dam Kai Kai Wara was a Doomben winner and her earlier winners included the Capricorn Sales 2YO Classic winners Kai Chow (Sanction) and Kai Cibo (Sanction). She has a 2yo colt by Shovhog.

Apache Pup was beaten nearly a dozen lengths at Townsville on October 17 but turned that around to score by more than two lengths second time out at Cannon Park. He becomes the first winner from Sequalo’s latest crop of two year-olds. The Lyndhurst sire got the colt from a winning half-sister to G2 AJC Light Fingers Stakes winner Street Smart (Lion Hunter). The dam has a yearling colt by Greenwood Lake.

Doonbah Star tracked the pace until the turn and then cleared out to bring up a hat-trick of wins. His only defeat to date was on debut at the Gold Coast in September and connections picked up a second QTIS bonus on successive Saturdays..
Doonbah Star was bred by NSW based breeder Ray Collins - he was also responsible for Fangles who made it a winning treble for Falvelon later in the day at Doomben.
Doonbah Star is the second winner for Star Tumble, an unraced Marscay mare out of Glen Tumble, a winner in Ireland and stakes placed in Italy. She was a grandaughter of a half-sister to King of Babylon, a handy sire from use at the Woodlands stud in the Hunter Valley.

Powerful Light brought up a running double for Falvelon when she scored at the first time of asking for trainer Helen Page. QTIS also delivered over $100,000 to connections of the two winners.
Falvelon got Powerful Light from Flemington winner Purbright who has already thrown the Easy Rocking winners Magic Momentum and Scratchakat.

Gold Coast trainer Helen Page won with Falvelon first-starter Powerful Light at Doomben and later in the day she prepared $21 outsider Tonkatsu to score on debut at her home track.
Tonkatsu started at $21 and relegated the Falvelon runners Mr Sugaray & Giddyupjayjay into the minors. The winner is by Willowbend Stud sire Clang from a half-sister to the stakes performers Snack Pak (Haulpak) and Overshadow (Zabaleta). She is also related to G1 VATC Blue Diamond St winner Lady Jakeo (Last Tycoon). Tonkatsu has a 2yo half-sister named Yakitori (Taimazov).

Worthy took the length of the straight to run down Wip (Canadian Silver) to score by a nose. The Pure Theatre colt had weighed in at all four previous starts at Toowoomba. His older half-sister Earnshaw (More Than Ready) won for the same connections at Toowoomba on October 4. Worthy’s dam Klokka won five Group races including the G2 STC Magic Night Stakes and MVRC Laurent Perrier in 1992. She has foaled fillies by Oaklands sire Ferocity in 2007 and ’08.
