Stewards Report – Norifumi Yamada

Stewards today concluded an inquiry into an incident in race five at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club meeting on Saturday, April 25.

Apprentice Norifumi Yamada pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a), in that leaving the 1200m, he permitted his mount Alyssa Jean to shift in when insufficiently clear of Sweet Addiction (Renee Hinricks) who was forced inwards and had to be restrained to avoid the heels of Alyssa Jean.

Apprentice Norifumi Yamada’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of six meetings commencing at midnight on May 8, 2009 and concluding at midnight on May 17, 2009.
