Stewards Report – Deagon Offices Monday, 10 November

Stewards today opened an inquiry into the results of analysis of a blood sample taken from SAMUI STAR prior to that horse completing in Race 3, at the Brisbane Turf Club on Saturday, 25 October, 2008

Trainer K Fleming was found guilty of a charge under AR178 in that he presented SAMUI STAR to race at the Brisbane Turf Club on Saturday, 25 October, 2008 when a blood sample taken that gelding prior to it racing, upon analysis reported a Total Carbon Dioxide level greater than the 36mmo/l as prescribed by the Australian Rules of Racing.

Trainer K Fleming was disqualified for a period of nine (9) months effective immediately.
