ROCKHAMPTON OFFICES – MONDAY 10 MARCH 2008
Stewards today opened an inquiry into two alleged incidents that occurred firstly in the float car park and secondly near the raceday office at the Rockhampton Jockey Club on Thursday, 6 March 2008.
After taking evidence from licensed foreperson Mr M. Jackson, Rockhampton Jockey Club employee Mr M. Forester, Rockhampton Jockey Club CEO Mr B. Slattery, Queensland Racing Limited Steward Mr J. Wallis, Betting Supervisor Mr S. Bryant and trainer Mr T. Cook. Mr Jackson was found guilty of a charge of Improper Conduct under AR175(q) in that he physically assaulted Rockhampton Jockey Club employee Mr M. Forester in the float carpark at the Rockhampton Jockey Club on Thursday, 6 March 2008 whilst a race meeting was being conducted.
Mr Jackson was disqualified for a period of 18 months effective immediately.
Mr Jackson was further found guilty of a charge of Improper Conduct under AR175(q) in that he physically assaulted licensed trainer Mr T. Cook near the raceday office on Thursday, 6 March 2008 whilst a race meeting was being conducted.
Mr Jackson was disqualified for a period of 18 months effective immediately.
Stewards ordered that both disqualifications be served concurrently.
