STEWARDS REPORT – R Maund (Pelltro)

Queensland Racing Limited (QRL) Stewards today continued an Inquiry into the results of analysis of a urine sample taken from PELLTRO at Caloundra on 1 March 2009.
At the Inquiry today further evidence was taken from Trainer Mr R Maund and after considering all evidence R Maund was charged with contravening AR178 in that as the Trainer of PELLTRO he presented that horse to race at Caloundra on 1 March 2009 when the prohibited substance HYDROCORTISONE was detected in the urine sample.
Trainer R Maund pleaded guilty and following submissions from Mr Maund in relation to penalty the matter was adjourned until Monday, 18 May 2009 to consider those submissions and inform Mr Maund of any penalty.
