Update on Doomben 10,000 raceday and weather conditions

Following 182mm of rain for the week, Queensland Racing Limited (QRL) and Brisbane Turf Club officials will conduct a track inspection at 3:00pm this afternoon.

Following the track inspection, discussions will be undertaken relating to forthcoming weather forecasts and consideration will be given to a number of contingency plans should continuing rainfall place Saturday’s meeting in doubt.

QRL racing services manager Paul Brennan commented that at this stage we are progressing with Saturday’s race meeting and today’s meeting is only to review the current state of the track and upcoming weather forecasts.

QRL will provide a further update tomorrow morning prior to the acceptance deadline at 9:00am.
