STEWARDS REPORT
DEAGON OFFICES – 21 MAY 2009
Following an inquiry held at Rockhampton Jockey Club on April 30, 2009, stewards have made the following findings.
Bookmaker Robert Crowe pleaded guilty to a charge under LR 112 in that he failed to obtain approval for an agent to work in his absence at the Emerald Race Club on April 11, 2009. Mr Crowe was fined the sum of $1,000.
Mr Crowe was also found guilty of a charge under LR 118 (b) in that he employed Mr Russell Leonard as a clerk when Mr Leonard was not the holder of the appropriate license. Mr Crowe was fined the sum of $200.
Mr Russell Leonard pleaded guilty to a charge under LR 85 in that he worked as a Bookmakers Clerk at the Emerald Race Club on April 11, 2009 when not the holder of the appropriate license. Mr Leonard was fined the sum of $100.
Mr Francis Bromley pleaded guilty to a charge under LR 105 in that he fielded as an agent for Mr Crowe at the Emerald Race Club on April 11, 2009 without approval to do so. Mr Bromley was fined the sum of $500.
When assessing penalty stewards took into account the records of those charged and the guilty pleas entered.
