EQUINE INFLUENZA UPDATE 26/08/2007

Queensland Racing has worked throughout the day with the DPI in an endeavour to enable the resumption of restricted access to registered training facilities. Discussions are ongoing tonight and as such there is to be no training of thoroughbred horses on registered facilities tomorrow morning.

Trainers are reminded that the horse standstill remains in place and no horses are to leave their stabling facilities.

Queensland Racing acknowledges the support of stakeholders in their compliance with these difficult restrictions and we seek your ongoing support until an equitable outcome is achieved.
