TOWNSVLLE TURF CLUB – THURSDAY, JANUARY 28, 2010
Stewards today inquired into the results of the analyst’s findings of a urine sample provided by licensed jockey Mark Dale at the Atherton Turf Club on December 19, 2009.
M. Dale pleaded guilty to a charge under AR.81A(1)(a) in that the urine sample provided by licensed jockey M. Dale at the above mentioned meeting was found upon analysis to contain a substance banned under AR.81(B) namely Frusemide.
After considering the submission put forward by M. Dale relating to penalty, Stewards suspended his licence from riding in races for a period covered by four months from January 11, 2010, which is the date that Mr. Dale was originally stood down, and to expire at May 11, 2010.
Further stewards acting under the provisions of AR.81(4) ordered that M. Dale provides a clear sample before returning to riding trackwork.
